DESCRIPTION:Contemporary Opera\nThe 79th Sperimentale Opera Season opens with the premiere performance of Nanof\, l’altro\, a one-act opera by Antonio Agostini on a libretto by Chiara Serani and Antonio Agostini with the collaboration of Davide Toschi. The opera is inspired by the true story of Oreste Fernando Nannetti\, who was interned between the 1960s and 1970s at the Volterra Asylum\, where with a belt buckle he engraved an enormous and mysterious graffito; the composer explores in music the theme of creativity as an antidote to madness and an act of rebellion. Together with the author\, Pietro Morichelli\, president of the Spoleto Court Association\, and Roberto Calai\, president of the Spoleto Criminal Chamber and the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale\, will speak.
