SUMMARY:Awakening 2026: Flower\, Muse of the Arts - Flower Catalogue
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, MAY 2 – 7 and 8:30 p.m. (duration 75 minutes)\nStorytelling between music\, cinema and botany\nwith Marco Angius\, Mariacristina Villani\, Luca Di Lorenzo\nwith Voice Emma Alessi Innocenti\nand musicians from the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto\nActivities included in the admission ticket | By reservation only\nPlease note that the ticket includes a visit to the Botanical Garden on the day of the event\, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. \nIn a sensory journey between arts and science\, Darius Milhaud’s Catalogue de fleurs (1920) becomes the subtle plot that unites three gazes: the musical one of Marco Angius\, the cinematic one of Luca Di Lorenzo and the botanical-narrative one of Mariacristina Villani. Flower after flower\, short live performances intertwine with images\, stories and film fragments\, building a path in which music\, cinema and botany continuously dialogue. The flower thus emerges as form\, symbol and rhythm\, crossing different languages and opening connections between scientific observation and imagination. \nFrom the scent of violets to the geometries of fritillaries\, from the purity of lilies to the passion of roses\, each species reveals a real\, poetic and visual world. In closing\, the full performance of the piece restores the unity of listening\, letting the interweaving of the arts and the audience’s gaze emerge. \nThe event is held at the University of Padua Botanical Garden in the Botanical Theater.\nOnline reservations available beginning Friday\, April 17.

SUMMARY:"San Filippo Neri" Oratorio - A. Scarlatti | Festival del '700 Musicale Napoletano
DESCRIPTION:Festival «18th Century Apotheosis of Naples\, Capital of Music»\npromoted by the Domenico Scarlatti Association\n\nSan Filippo Neri\nOratorio in two parts for 4 voices with Instruments\, Rome\, 1705.\nMusic by Alessandro Scarlatti – Libretto by Pietro Ottoboni\n\nAccademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia | Advanced course in Baroque singing. Teacher: Sara Mingardo\n\n\nSan Filippo Roberto Manuel Zangari tenor\nCarità Maddalena De Biasi soprano\nFede Emma Alessi Innocenti mezzo-soprano\nSperanza Zoreslava Vynnyk alto\n\n\nOrchestra da Camera di Napoli\nconductor Enzo Amato\n\n\nThe Oratorio San Filippo Neri\, composed in Rome in 1705\, is a masterpiece by Alessandro Scarlatti with a libretto by Pietro Ottoboni. This emblematic Baroque composition reflects Scarlatti’s extraordinary talent for blending vocal intensity with refined orchestration\, engaging in an open artistic dialogue with the great European masters of his era. The four soloists embody powerful Christian allegorical characters: Roberto Manuel Zangari gives voice to St. Philip\, Maddalena de Biasi interprets Charity\, Zoreslava Vynnyk lends her alto voice to Faith and Emma Alessi Innocenti takes on the role of Hope. The Naples Chamber Orchestra\, conducted by Enzo Amato\, accompanies the theatrical and spiritual expressions of this work\, which embodies the Neapolitan musical tradition and its European influence.\nThis concert invites audiences to immerse themselves in a reimagined early 18th-century atmosphere\, celebrating Alessandro Scarlatti as a pivotal figure in Baroque music and as a bridge between European artistic cultures.

SUMMARY:Marc-Antoine Charpentier - Un Concert de Noël | Hortus Harmonicus Festival
DESCRIPTION:I musici del Gran Principe \nSamuele Lastrucci\, conductor \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLili Aymonino\, dessus\nValentina Fin\, dessus\nEmma Alessi Innocenti\, dessus\nGabriel Belkheiri\, haute contre\nMarco Angioloni\, taille\nFrancesco Masilla\, basse \nMatteo Saccà\, violin\nRossella Pugliano\, violin\nGiulia Serio\, baroque flute\nGiuditta Isoldi\, baroque flute\nJohanna Lopez\,\nTommaso Tarsi\, theorbo \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgramme \nMarc-Antoine Charpentier (1643–1704)\nAntiphona sine organo ad virginem “Sub tuum præsidium”\, H. 28\nIn Assumptione Beata Mariae Virginis\, H. 353\nAd beatam Virginem canticum\, H. 340\nSalve Regina H. 27\nMagnificat\, H. 73\nLitanies de la Vierge\, H. 83 \nNotes to the program\nThe Marian nucleus presented here offers an exemplary sample of the Charpentierian synthesis between Italian vocabulary learned from Carissimi and elegant French taste. French chapel forms and organics parade in the chosen program\, from the bare splendor of the “Antiphona sine organo ad Virginem” H. 28 (Sub tuum praesidium)\, for three a cappella dessus\, to the sweeping fresco of the “In Assumptione Beatae Mariae Virginis” H. 353\, where choral and solo invocations\, imitative-concert sections alternate episodes of relaxation with litanean refrains. The canticle “Ad beatam Virginem” H. 340 chisels a trio Haute-contre\, Taille and Basse with concertante instruments and continuo\, in fine timbral balance and affective suspensions. The “Salve Regina” H. 27\, is conceived as a solo intermediate entrusted to the soprano voice. The “Magnificat” H. 73 distills the poetics of the male voice trio on chaconne bass\, varying the affects between humilitas and exaltatio. The “Litanies de la Vierge” H. 83 closes: chain of invocations according to Parisian praxis\, with luminous progressions\, persuasive modulations and wide-ranging devotional culmination. \nFree admission subject to availability

SUMMARY:"La Cenerentola" in concert form | Vicenza in Lirica
DESCRIPTION:Next April 15 at 8 p.m.\, the Operetta Hall of the Ankara Museum of Sculpture and Painting will host a prestigious musical event\, “Külkedisi Operasından Aryalar Konseri\,” or arias from Gioachino Rossini’s opera La Cenerentola. The concert\, organized by the General Direction of State Opera and Ballet of Turkey in cooperation with theEmbassy of Italy in Ankara\, will feature on stage an international cast of young artists who won the prestigious Tullio Serafin Opera Competition and starred in past editions of the “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival. \nProtagonists of the event will be Quan Zhou (Don Ramiro)\, Carlo Sgura (Dandini)\, Gianpiero Delle Grazie (Don Magnifico)\, Silvia Porcellini (Clorinda)\, Elisabetta Ricci (Tisbe)\, Emma Alessi Innocenti (Cenerentola/Külkedisi)\, Said Gobechiya (Alidoro) and Fausto Di Benedetto on piano. \nStanding out among the promoters of the initiative is the cultural association “Concetto Armonico” with the “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival\, realities that are now rooted in the international opera scene and that once again carry the name of the city of Vicenza and Tullio Serafin in Turkey as a symbol of artistic and cultural excellence. \nIn fact\, the concert in Ankara represents the continuation of an important institutional and cultural dialogue between “Concetto Armonico” and the Embassy of Italy in Turkey\, strengthened by the fruitful collaboration initiated in 2024\, when the association organized as many as four concerts on the occasion of the National Day of the Italian Republic at the Ankara Opera and Ballet Theater\, the Italian Embassy in Ankara\, the Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul and the Izmir Consulate\, enjoying great success with the public and media attention\, consolidating the Italian cultural presence in the country. \nThanks to these initiatives\, Vicenza – with its architectural jewel\, the Teatro Olimpico\, and with “Concetto Armonico” is confirmed as an ambassador of Italian culture abroad. The “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival\, which over the years has nurtured young talents now present in major European opera institutions\, aims to be a bridge between generations\, nations and traditions\, promoting not only the beauty of bel canto\, but also the value of meeting and cultural exchange. \nThe inclusion of this event within the Festival of Italian Creativity further underscores the high profile of the initiative\, which combines art\, diplomacy and cultural promotion in a highly relevant international context. \nAndrea Castello\, artistic director of the “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival and president of “Concetto Armonico\,” stresses:\n«To once again bring the name of the city of Vicenza to Turkey\, thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Ankara\, is a source of great pride for us. The “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival not only trains and debuts young artists through the Tullio Serafin Opera Competition\, but also takes on the task of accompanying them in international artistic growth\, offering them the opportunity to perform in other countries. This is an important added value for Vicenza\, which is represented in the world not only as a city of art\, but also as a hothouse of talent and living culture.» \n\n\n\nGuido Faggion

SUMMARY:Liederabend | Teatro Lirico Sperimentale (Spoleto)
DESCRIPTION:The Teatro Lirico Sperimentale of Spoleto will offer a Liederabend (Lieder Evening) as part of its season: this is an intimate and intimate performance of vocal chamber music\, during which the audience can (re)discover a poetic and musical world made up of nuances\, whispered expressions and precisely for that reason profound. It is the privileged access to a poetic universe that touches\, with sobriety\, elegance and truth\, the most touching chords of the soul. The Lied is the song of the man who faces a long journey in search of the meaning of existence. Whether he finds it or not is hard to say. But the stages of the long journey are nonetheless milestones of a worthwhile experience. \nDuring the evening many Lieder of the German tradition will be performed\, with uthors like Schubert\, Schumann\, Brahms\, Strauss and other composers who have contributed to the history of this genre. \nThe students of the Course for preparing debut for young opera singers of the Sperimentale will be accompanied on the piano by M° Antonio Vicentini. \nDate event and location\nTuesday\, September 10 | 8:30 p.m.\nPegasus Hall of Spoleto

SUMMARY:Concert "Sonar di tasti e cantar di musica" | Istituto degli Innocenti (Florence)
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce a series of five concerts-two of which will be held at the Galleria dell’Accademia\, the other three at the Istituto degli Innocenti– with the aim of enhancing and promoting the cultural heritage of the two prestigious institutions in Florence’s historic center.\nThe series\, titled ‘Sonar di tasti e cantar di musica\,’ is part of the three-year collaboration agreement signed in March by the Istituto degli Innocenti and the Galleria dell’Accademia. This twinning will include the organization of meetings\, concerts\, exhibitions\, educational activities\, promotional initiatives and other forms of joint planning. \nFive concerts for the cicle ‘Sonar di tasti e cantar di musica’\nThe concert program ‘Sonar di tasti e cantar di musica’ takes its cue from the discovery of how closely the Accademia Gallery and the Istituto degli Innocenti are linked in the name of music. In fact\, hitherto unpublished documents in the Historical Archives of the Innocenti have revealed that in the late Renaissance/early Baroque period\, children received at the Hospital studied and played instruments of the time such as the flute\, trombone\, cornetto and lute. Rare examples of some of these ancient instruments are now kept and displayed at the Accademia Gallery in Florence. From this connection came the idea for the cycle of five concerts\, the first of which will be May 25 at 7 p.m. \nFree guided tours of the collection of instruments on display at the Accademia Gallery will be offered during these events. The tours will be held on the same dates as the concerts\, at 4:30 p.m.\nThe events taking place in the Innocenti spaces will be free admission subject to availability. For information write to office@inyourevent.it \nThe Concert Programme of the 25th May | Istituto degli Innocenti\nEmma Alessi Innocenti (mezzo-soprano) and Patrizio La Placa (baritone) together with I Musici del Gran Principe Ensemble\, will perfom some Cantatas and instrumental pieces of composers like Antonio Vivaldi\, Giovanni Bononcini\, Alessandro Scarlatti\, Agostino Steffani and Arcangelo Corelli\, some of the most representative authors of the Italian Baroque. \nDate event and location\n25th May 2023\, 7:00 pm. | Istituto degli Innocenti\, Women’s courtyard

Archilei \, C. Malvezzi\, V. Galilei\, G. Caccini were among the members of the famous symposium whose intent was to write music different from that composed by Palestrina and Zarlino\, defined as the first practice. This second practice involved a single melody subject to the text\, the focus of the expression of taste and affect\, accompanied by basso continuo; a greater freedom of writing than the strict rules of the first practice. The path continues with Girolamo Frescobaldi who\, at the invitation of Ferdinando II de’ Medici\, moved to Florence in 1630 where he composed Il primo libro delle canzoni a 1-4 voci and the Arie musicali: the expressive musical writing highlights the new practice with even greater intensity. With Claudio Monteverdi the musical journey ends: a key figure of the second practice that consolidated and elevated melodrama and sacred music by making them solemn\, brilliant and eternal. \nDate event and location\n9th September 2022\, 7:30 pm | Murate Art District (MAD)\, Piazza delle Murate\, Florence \n
