DESCRIPTION:The 79th Sperimentale Opera Season 2025 ends with a new production of Le Nozze di Figaro\, an opera in four acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte. This masterpiece\, which premiered in Vienna in 1786\, is a comedy of intrigue and deception that lays bare a dizzying\, deeply human gallery of feelings and moods. The latter aspect distinguishes it from its source\, the drama of the same name contained in Beaumarchais’ Figaro Trilogy\, which is more devoted to the reasons for biting social and political criticism.After Don Giovanni (2022)\, the staging of Mozart’s Dapontian Trilogy thus continues. The performance is conducted by Marco Angius\, the direction and sets are by Henning Brockhaus\, for a production marked by the theme of eroticism as a key to self-consciousness and knowledge of the world.
