Emma Alessi Innocenti was a finalist in the prestigious “Francesco Provenzale” International Baroque Singing Competition organized by the Centro di Musica Antica Pietà dei Turchini (Naples).
The finals were held Saturday, Nov. 30 (7:30 p.m.) at the end of two days of semi-final round at Chiesa di Santa Caterina da Siena Church in a concert form open to the public. The seven finalists sung arias from the Baroque repertoire accompanied on harpsichord by Maestro Marco Crosetto.
The Jury was composed of well-known Maestros and internationally renowned artists, such as:
– Anna Bonitatibus (mezzo-soprano), President of the Jury
– Francesco Nicolosi (pianist and artistic director)
– Maria Ercolano (singing teacher and lecturer at the Centro di Musica Antica Pietà dei Turchini)
– Vincenzo De Vivo (artistic director of the Lyric Season of the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona and of the Academy of Lyric Art in Osimo)
– Antonio Greco (conductor and music director of the Cremona Antiqua Choir and Orchestra)
– Paologiovanni Maione (musicologist and professor of music history at the Conservatorio S. Pietro a Majella in Naples)
