“La Cenerentola” in concert form | Vicenza in Lirica

Next April 15 at 8 p.m., the Operetta Hall of the Ankara Museum of Sculpture and Painting will host a prestigious musical event, “Külkedisi Operasından Aryalar Konseri,” or arias from Gioachino Rossini’s opera La Cenerentola. The concert, organized by the General Direction of State Opera and Ballet of Turkey in cooperation with theEmbassy of Italy in Ankara, will feature on stage an international cast of young artists who won the prestigious Tullio Serafin Opera Competition and starred in past editions of the “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival.

Protagonists of the event will be Quan Zhou (Don Ramiro), Carlo Sgura (Dandini), Gianpiero Delle Grazie (Don Magnifico), Silvia Porcellini (Clorinda), Elisabetta Ricci (Tisbe), Emma Alessi Innocenti (Cenerentola/Külkedisi), Said Gobechiya (Alidoro) and Fausto Di Benedetto on piano.

Standing out among the promoters of the initiative is the cultural association “Concetto Armonico” with the “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival, realities that are now rooted in the international opera scene and that once again carry the name of the city of Vicenza and Tullio Serafin in Turkey as a symbol of artistic and cultural excellence.

In fact, the concert in Ankara represents the continuation of an important institutional and cultural dialogue between “Concetto Armonico” and the Embassy of Italy in Turkey, strengthened by the fruitful collaboration initiated in 2024, when the association organized as many as four concerts on the occasion of the National Day of the Italian Republic at the Ankara Opera and Ballet Theater, the Italian Embassy in Ankara, the Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul and the Izmir Consulate, enjoying great success with the public and media attention, consolidating the Italian cultural presence in the country.

Thanks to these initiatives, Vicenza – with its architectural jewel, the Teatro Olimpico, and with “Concetto Armonico” is confirmed as an ambassador of Italian culture abroad. The “Vicenza in Lirica” Festival, which over the years has nurtured young talents now present in major European opera institutions, aims to be a bridge between generations, nations and traditions, promoting not only the beauty of bel canto, but also the value of meeting and cultural exchange.

The inclusion of this event within the Festival of Italian Creativity further underscores the high profile of the initiative, which combines art, diplomacy and cultural promotion in a highly relevant international context.
