Liederabend | Teatro Lirico Sperimentale (Spoleto)

The Teatro Lirico Sperimentale of Spoleto will offer a Liederabend (Lieder Evening) as part of its season: this is an intimate and intimate performance of vocal chamber music, during which the audience can (re)discover a poetic and musical world made up of nuances, whispered expressions and precisely for that reason profound. It is the privileged access to a poetic universe that touches, with sobriety, elegance and truth, the most touching chords of the soul. The Lied is the song of the man who faces a long journey in search of the meaning of existence. Whether he finds it or not is hard to say. But the stages of the long journey are nonetheless milestones of a worthwhile experience.

During the evening many Lieder of the German tradition will be performed, with uthors like Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Strauss and other composers who have contributed to the history of this genre.

The students of the Course for preparing debut for young opera singers of the Sperimentale will be accompanied on the piano by M° Antonio Vicentini.
